O'ahu, Hawaii ~ Part II

With two days spent holed up in our hotel resort,
the time has come to venture out for awhile...
Day 3:
Get up early:
Stood in line behind Jon Gosselin and his mediocre trim at Starbucks.
Had ample amount of time to judge him and think about what losers him and Kate are:
Pick up rental a car for a leisurely drive to the North Shore:
Stopped at the small surf town of Hale'iwa for a very special
green Hawaiian shaved ice request:
On to Ehukai and Sunset Beaches...
Home to the famous Bonzai Pipeline...
to watch only the skilled surfers take on the waves...
I was pretty unsucessful on photographing any of them...
...but I was pretending that this what me and my girlfriends look like on the beach,
but in reality we most likely just have a beer in hand and don't really care what our butts look like...
Lucky always looks good, whether he's relaxing in the sand...
...building cities...
...or destroying them...
Lucky really wants to learn how to surf, now.
He was asleep when Shaun White took the gold,
otherwise he'd be obsessing about snowboarding, too.
Day 4:
Started out on the beach, with Lucky trying to make friends with couple of older boys.
They wanted nothing to do with him, until they saw his cars.
Lucky got used.
He wanted his goggles on his head just like them,
then got irritated at me for embarrassing him in front of his new friends...
At least his mom thinks he's cool...
...and buys him as many shaved ices as he wants...
...then tries to bury him after his friends take off without saying goodbye...
After a little rest from the sun, it was time to...

Let the Good Times Roll...
The Art District/China Town was host to a festive block party...
!!!HAPPY FAT TUESDAY!!!
Mahalo no kou ho`okipa
(Thank you for your hospitality)
