The Everglades, FL ~ pt 7

We stayed at the Miami Everglades Campground. It's right between Miami and well, The Everglades.

We should have heed the warning...
But, it's time to throw caution to the wind...
I guess it was fair warning...
This is the wrong time for a flat tire.

A mama and her babies on the side of the road...

No cell phone reception.
Mike thought he would jump out for a closer look around.
The rest of us thought we would just stay put in the car.

At least until we found civilization...

We took in an air boat ride with the Miccosukee Indians...

...to the "island".

Mind you, this is no alligator farm. This is the wild. The "island" is a series of crudely built docks of rotting wood that sit directly over alligator infested shallow water.
That's one big boy...

A stash of old Singers sit among the drying Cypress tree roots...

Let's get outa here...

Yuck Yuck dont those things get up onto the docks. Well while you guys are blasting about warm weather down south we gots a lots o'snow today. We are starting Journeys hill of snow so he can lay on top and look like the king of snow dog hill.
