Curacao, Netherlands Antilles, Dutch Caribbean ~ Part II

Day 4:
Koningin Emmabrug, Willemstad
We have a pocket full guilders burning a hole!
 Crossing the Queen Emma Pontoon Bridge
or as the locals call 'er the Swinging Old Lady to get to Punda.
 It floats open to let boats and ships through in the St. Anna Bay.
Dates back to 1886.
 Punda is best known for it's historic pastel colored colonial buildings.
The shopping wasn't great...
...but there was this floating farmer's market...
 They come up from Venezuela everyday...
This guy is still not feeling all that well...
 ...this one doesn't so much mind the heat, it's the humidity...
We keep it cool and not try to over do it...
Headed back over the Pontoon Bridge...
I don't know who this guy is.
 ...but Lucky was disappointed that the old fort was turned into a mall...
 He looked like he could have puked on it.
Ready. Aim. FIRE.
 This kind fella wore fake dreads and sang
a song about 2 boys being from Minnesota.
This island lies outside the hurricane belt.
I have an idea what could sooth that sore belly...
 ...OREO Ice Cream Drinks on the BEACH!
 ...not a bad idea.
...maybe a beer or two????
When an old fort turns into a strip mall, just make your own...
 ...then another one...
This lifestyle suits them.
...what would we do without technology?
~~~~~~~~~~
We saw and did as much as we could in our time here...
 ...took it easy...
I've heard that sometimes when you FREE your MIND...
...the rest will follow...
 ~~~~~~~~~~
Day 5:
Curacao's Hands-on Seaquarium
Nurse sharks feel like sandpaper...
The feeding is rather violent...
Dolphins are show-offs...
One Fish, Two Fish...
Will work for fish...
This is where that blue liqueur commonly found among high school girls is from...
Modest little factory...
Purchased a couple of puppy-sitter thank you bottles...
THANKS AGAIN, YOU GUYS!!!!
Folks, don't forget to tip your bartenders...
THANKSGIVING DIN DIN.
Island Style.
 Good Night...
...and good-bye.
