We never had much ambition to leave the San Juan area. Even though Isla Verde is just a hop, skip and a jump from our previous place, it seemed a lot nicer and more happening. Our new hotel is teaming with families full of children, making it more enjoyable for Lucky. There is a casino, making it more enjoyable for Mike. Free breakfast every morning, making it more enjoyable for all of us.
The pools are warmer and more festive. Axel is dressed in his modest swimwear and is exposed to his very first holiday in paradise...
(Little egg head!)
Lucky hangs loose and practices his surf moves.
He tells his little brother, "We'll be friends for life, Man."
Sweet little darlings...
Things are looking up. Room service is pretty exciting to a 4 1/2 year old...
The big one is thrilled to have his own fold out chair bed...
...and the sweet pea gets a real live full sized crib...
The next day is Thanksgiving...
...we are thankful for the sun in the sky and the waves in the ocean, on this lovely sandy beach...
Axel breathes in the perfect ocean air and takes the longest nap of the trip in his private cabana...
...giving the rest of us a chance to relax and have some fun in the bath tub like temperature of the ocean...
Watching Lucky become one with the sand is total tranquility...
Thanksgiving dinner...
...To Us...Make way for Christmas, boys and girls...
We take a drive and find a new beach to play at for awhile...
Anytime Lucky can throw anything into any body of water is considered happiness. Coconuts are new to this sport.
...Sea shells by the sea shore...
...and tires, too...
Our rental car gets stuck in the sand. With my mammoth muscles and Mike's superb driving skills we get out in a jiffy...
Guess we've been there, done that a few times, except in the snowy snow snow.
Dinner out of a road side truck, known as El Churry!
Oh, street food, you are loved hard...
...and I am happy to announce that Lucky has also found love...
Axel works hard at rolling over...
Lucky is excited to wonder around the old San Cristobal Fort and hear gnarly stories of pirate battles...
(hold your tongue and say 'I was born on a pirate ship')
Convinced that there are dead pirate body parts laying around here somewhere, "Do you think this is where they keep the dead pirate heads?"
There is no comprehension of life before 2006, so I grow tired of trying to explain that these events happened in the 1800s, I give in and say that they had to get rid of them because they stink. He wants to know, "MOM, why do dead heads stink?" Ha! Insert joke here.
Surly this HAS to be pirate blood...
Nice view, Cap'n. Shiver me timbers.
Iguanas!
The ever stylish tourist purchases an inky dinky stink bird hat off a street merchant...
...and a cricket off a local artist...
Those Puerto Ricans love their baseball...
...but Mike and Lucky find the Sunday Package. Word is out that Bret Favre has pneumonia, too. I tell Lucky he got it from me. This causes confusion and demands for the truth...
I enjoy a beer in the bar with a baby...
Besides baseball, boxing and JLo, the Puerto Ricans love them some cock fighting. Mike wasn't going to step foot off this island without indulging in this local past time...
With me and the kids tucked safely away, he ventures across the street to the fights. I get word back that women get in free and there are many children present. Okay then.
Mike said it was nice and clean, ya know besides the blood shed. He didn't feel comfortable betting, being the only whitey in the crowd and all.
He stumbled across the cock shaving room while searching for the restroom...
They served chicken wings. Take that PETA...
Last day. Late flight.
We got a couple hours to hit the beach...
Sand balls, way better than snow balls...
Actually, they were The Joker's laughing gas balls that Lucky launched off into the waves..
The end has come.
Lucky is fully addicted to Angry Birds and Axel wants in...
Well, old Sicky McSickerton made it out alive and with a sun tan to boot...
...and Red Blankie is continuing on his quest for world domination...
Until next time...
!Adios Amigos!

Love love love it! You have a couple of beautiful children!
I'm glad that Axel wears ModestWear. You should raise just him as a Duggar. Glad you're feeling better! -Jill
