The road through Illinois

It's a bird... It's a plane... It's Superman...
On the very southern border of Illinois is the city of Metropolis....
They have a museum.
It has such valuable artifacts such as Clark Kent's glasses...

...Christopher Reeve's hair...
...a variety of different costumes from different renditions...
(Rob Lowe?)
...Terri Hatcher's wardrobe from the Lois and Clark tv show...
...toys and clothes on and around ghostly children...
...and my personal favorites...
Lucky certainly pulls his weight while on the road...
...really, he will work for peanuts...

...but, there is usually a little something extra in it for him...

...and I am not talking vegetables, if ya know what I mean...
This particular antique store had a Giant Swimmer for sale...
...and to our excitement, there inside was Hank offering direction to the restrooms. What a gentleman...
A little further north...
Hank's lady friend, the Uniroyal Gal was found hanging around at Stan the Tire Man's...
...while Big John is doing all the work...
The need to stretch our legs and let Lucky run free came while we were deep in Amish Country...
...well, I don't even know what this semi-Amish theme park was all about. I just know we were three of the few people wandering around...
...Mike and Lucky played an Amish video game. Tic tac toe against a chicken...
...went on rides...
...Oh... really?
...creepy Children of the Corn village...
This is more like it. The Gemini Giant on old historic Route 66...
...the Landing Pad Diner left a little to be desired, though...
We are on like hour 7 of driving through the vast cornfields of Illinois. Some relief came in the form of a small amusement park near Chicago...
Haunted Trails...
...I'm a ghost...
...I vant to get out of here. This place is giving me a headache and we still have a long drive ahead of us...
Happy Fourth of July, Everybody!
Round Lake... Here we come bearing mass amounts of fireworks!

I'll see you Saturday! Did Mike use the hole in the tree for anything?

Hank looks a lot like Billy Mays.
