St. Louis, Missouri

Mike and I stumbled upon this gem of a museum well before Lucky was around, but we just knew at the time that this would be a place that we would want to bring him to someday. This is the sole reason behind this short rv trip to the Show Me State...

It is in an old 10-story warehouse that has been over taken by artist...
It is hard to describe other than it is a little raw, it is a little dangerous...
There are these tunnels that will take you from one floor to another...
...circus attractions...
...skateboard ramps drove Lucky absolutely bonkers...
...very Tim Burton-esque 10 stories of spiral staircases and slides...
...caves...

...Mike and Lucky went high into the clouds...

...this is the slide that gave Lucky a pretty nice bloody nose...
...this is how we dealt with that...

...end our 4 hour stay with a wardrobe change and a jump into the tub-o-balls...
It was at The Venice Cafe were we enjoyed a spicy jerk chicken on this 102 degree day...
...but, nothing tasted better than the frosty Red Stripes that went along with it.
Hey, Venice Cafe... Maybe you should tell that to Iowa...
How about a good ol' fashioned Sinclair Dinosaur?
...on the way to the grocery store, we ran into these two creepy
f---ers... I meant farmers...
...Hail to the Chief...
...a White Knight burger...
...seems as though the whole country has Jackson fever, again...
...a big giant cock...
The arch is pretty much visible at any point in the city...
...or at least some sort of arch. Twins played the Cardinals all 3 days we where here...

The Gateway to the West hovers 650 feet over the mighty Mississippi...
...and 647 feet over Lucky...
98 degrees, not chance of us making our way up in that thing. Besides, once in my life was good enough...
Photo of mom and dad in front of the arch: courtesy of Lucky (not too bad)...
Launching a variety of sticks and stones into any body of water, such as the Mississppi River is a favored activity...

So... Watch it Lewis and Clark, you may have battled the elements and wild animals, and whatever else you did... but you ain't never seen the likes of the Mighty Mister Lucky...
The historic Dogtown neighborhood has a large concrete turtle problem...
...and is the home to the biggest Amoco sign it the country...
This really describes how I have been feeling lately...

So, here goes some wise words of wisdom, from yours truly...
*Don't take life too seriously, you never know what day could be your last...
*You are the only person responsible for making yourself happy...
and lastly...
*Screw them if they can't take a joke!
These are life lessons that I feel that I am only now learning.

That is why we squeezed just one more thing into this way too short of weekend... The Magic House. It is like a children's science museum, only better...
...Hail to the other Chief...
Ha!
