San Antonio, TX ~ part 2

San Antonio is the 2nd largest city in Texas, but it feels like a small town. Every morning waiting outside our rv for Lucky was a family of ducks. They have come to rely on him for breakfast.

He is their leader...

This cafe really was the tops, but if you ask me, the Mexican food in this town is the real ace in the hole.

San Antonio's most famous attraction is the Alamo. No matter how hard we looked, we just could never find the basement...

"Can ya'll say, adobe?"

The Buckhorn Saloon and Museum is a whirlwind of great amusement...

They have been collecting everything from deer antlers to mounted exotic wild game since 1881. If a hunter brings in a little something, there's a free shot of whiskey in it for him...

The amount of dead animals hanging is epic. This isn't even the half of it.

The best part of this museum is that you can walk through with a beer.

...then there were the dioramas, who doesn't like a good diorama?

This rather large mosaic candle depicts the Virgin Mary in all her glory...

The city is painted full of colorful murals...

Historic Market Square is "the biggest Mexican market outside Mexico".
