Los Angeles, CA ~ Part 4

Our one day in L.A. was mostly spent sitting in frustrating traffic.
We got out to stretch our legs at The La Brea Tar Pits...

Nope, that's not a pond. It's tar. Pure asphalt. Smelled like a hot driveway in the summer time. 100,000 pounds or so, of bone from the ice age has been recovered and perfectly preserved from the tar pits.

It just seems to bubble up any were through out the area. The fenced in spot behind Lucky and the bear is hole of sticky tar.

We had lunch at Canter's Deli on Fairfax. Marc Canter now owns his family deli. Marc is Slash's best friend and photographer. He just published a book of his countless photos of the rise of the greatest band EVER.

Homer and Marge...

Jim Morrison live here. Once. A really long time ago...

But the real reason we made the 2 hour drive from San Diego to Los Angeles is that we caught wind that there were some real big city Muffler Men living in the city of lights.

Introducing to you...
