NYC

Lucky took his very first subway ride to visit his big brother Hunter...

Hunter lives on Wall Street...
This is what it looks like when you walk out his front door...

Hunter took us on a walk around his neighborhood...
He lives by Alexander Hamilton's grave...
...and the site of the Twin Towers...
This cross was left standing in all the burning rubble...
Hunter is a delightful tour guide.
He took us shopping...

...and to the apartment that Health Ledger overdosed and died at...
...then out for some super fantastic pizza...

...and to a bar where scenes from The Sopranos was shot...
Lucky took a carriage ride through Central Park to the zoo...

...checked out the Statue of Liberty...
...and took in some New York sights...

Ate at Carnegie Deli on Times Square...
Hunter had a party. Brad was lost in a sea of NYU beards...

...among other unspeakable sorts of facial hair.

Carrie and Brad took New York by storm. They were running the streets and riding the train like they belonged there. They sang karaoke, checked out a drag show, bought purses and got massages from large Chinamen. They had an awesome time and even stayed in one night with Lucky so Mike and I could go out.

And, this is what we did...

Being stuck in this world of little kid tv, things happen. Things like, finding yourself just as obsessed with certain characters as your kid. Lucky had a Blue's Clues phase that hit hard. All we heard day and night was "a clue, a clue" or "Here's the mail, it never fails, it makes me want to wag my tail..." Steve was the host, a nice young man. Innocent, animated. It made you wonder, what the hell that guys deal is. Well, we found out in Brooklyn. His band is called Steve Burns and the Struggle. First impression, he seems agitated and pissed off. He handed out laser pointers, his show is interactive. It was all about a puppet going through life after losing a loved one. A choose your own adventure kind of thing. Very impressive and creative. He made no mention of his friend Blues or Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper, not even Side Table Drawer. He seemed to be happy on stage, though, I think if he were to hear... "hey, my kid is totally in love with you" one more time, he might just throw a punch.
That's him in the stocking cap. My kid totally loves him.

That pizza looked YUMMY !!!! Better then Fireside , but that was good too.The sandwich looked sooo....good, oops my mouth is drooling a little on the keyboard. You guys are making me hungry..
Now about Steve and his Blues Clue maybe he just wanted Blue and Magenta to have a little alone time. Its the count down to beard time but the real vote is with Carrie... whats her take on the faux Grizzley Adams.
