Massachusetts

We have been in Massachusetts since last Sunday. When we first got in we decided it would be fun to go to Cape Cod. Cape Cod is sorta boring. First of all, it was Columbus Day and the traffic was bad and unless you are a Kennedy or know some fancy people with a house on Cape Cod you can't even see the water. Well, it could have been awesome and we would have never even known. So, nothing to speak of or pictures to show...
Second day, we hit America's oldest tourist attraction. Plymouth Rock and the house that holds it.

Awesome, a rock...
and, a Mayflower replica (the original was used as fire wood back in the day) and a pilgrim.
We saw a sign on the side of the road for a 35 foot Madonna. Of course, we had to stop.
Big Irish Catholic neighborhood. Mike fit right in.

It over looked the city. Breathtaking.

When we got to the Lizzie Borden B&B and museum, it was closed.
Lizzie Borden took an ax, And gave her mother forty whacks; When she saw what she had done, She gave her father forty-one!

Salem is filled with lots of witchy shops and what-nots. There is a red line that runs the sidewalks. If you felt so inclined, you could walk the line and read all about the happenings of the Salem Witch Trials.

Unfortunately, our short attention spans prohibited us from particiating in this activity. We felt fairly satisfied taking our own self guided tour.

Lucky's first look at the Atlantic Ocean and shark bite.
I am certain that the beaches in Florida are going to flip his lid.

Life at the KOA...
clean, family friendly and free wi-fi.

It is true, I like my cheesy tourist attractions. It is one of my greatest joys. But, this one took the cake and I even felt a little ashamed. Cheers in Boston. Crappy food. I knew it would be and check out these two goons singing about how everyone knows your name.
Geez...

This statue commemorates the drug ether.

Boston is a lovely town. Somewhat inaccessible. Hard to navigate with a 2 1/2 year old and a car.
Seeing Madonna at the Garden was a dream. I love my husband. Our seats were just up from the stage. We could see every muscle flex.
My camera was left behind, this is a shot with my phone of the high-definition screen.
The concert was 2 days after the announcement of her divorce to Guy. You could feel the bitterness come through during Borderline and I'm Not Sorry. And, when she sang Like a Prayer and Ray of Light you could feel the stadium move. Very exciting. The Sticky Sweet tour, I felt was a bit scaled back from her past shows, but I liked it. She has cool costumes and her dancers are unbelievable. The best in the business.
