The Upper Penninsula, MI

The bus left Minneapolis around 6pm on Friday night. We reached the Upper Pennisula of Michigan around midnight. It was a quick and easy drive. Lucky threw up about 4 hours into it. A little motion sickness, but he is fine.

Out of the 200 falls that the UP offers, we saw 1. The Bond Falls. Very pretty. We took a little walk to the top and tossed some rocks in.

Then on to Houghton. Home of Brad's Grandpa and the Pasty . A savory meat pie. Only to be left dissapointed and hungrey. No pastys in sight. Then the rain came. It's too bad, because it looked like a pretty, old Lake Superior town.

After another rainy and windy day, we decided to start the 13 hour drive to Toranto. Just upon leaving town, we found a Pasty shop. We sat outside and enjoyed our savory meat pies.

If there's one thing I've learned in life, it's the Michigan is always disappointing. I can't wait for more updates! -Jill
